William Denton:
> Anyone else picked up anything good
lately?
Last week I picked up THE ENEMIES WITHIN by Michael Lewin,
someone that I haven't seen mentioned here yet. I have no
idea if this actually *is* any good, but there are kind
things on the Thrilling Detective web site about his Albert
Samson series. Any opinions on Lewin?
The cover blurb (Swedish hardback from 1974) is pretty
fascinating, btw. Lewin is here described as one of those
promising young writers who might pick up the mantle from
Raymond Chandler and Ross MacDonald (other contenders
mentioned are such young hopefuls as Robert B. Parker and
Arthur Lyons). Well, obviously it didn't turn out
*quite* like that...
