I picked up PURE PULP, a 1999 anthology edited by Ed Gorman,
Bill Pronzini and the ubiquitous Martin Harry Greenberg. It
looks like a fine collection of hardboiled stuff, with some
writers I know (Evan Hunter, Westlake, Block, Cain, Goodis,
rare bird Mr. Randisi), and some I don't
(Glenn Canary, Fletcher Flora, Helen Neilsen). It even
includes an entire Peter Rabe novel, THE BOX. Anyone have any
comments about it? Are there any stories I should absolutely
make sure I don't miss?
