RARA-AVIS: bfi

I was in Borders looking for the BFI Modern Classics book on Taxi Driver. Couldn't find it, don't think it's out yet, but I did run across volumes on Pulp Fiction and Chinatown, plus Big Sleep in the Classics series. Are these books worthwhile? Do they deal with the literary antecedents as well as the filmic ones?
