I picked up a 1960s Fontana PB yesterday titled The Lowlife,
the is described as "a riotous off-beat novel about the
gamblers, prostitutes and lay-abouts of London's East End."
The author is Alexnader Baron. Can any of the Brits on the
list recommend Baron?
