I have that title around here, Bill. This might be a good
time to read it, too. I can't recall if CW uses much humor in
his noirs. His protagonist made a wisecrack in MAN ON A LEASH
about rock-and-roll and Ricky Nelson I remember smiling at
when I read it. Did Charles Williams' use humor in his movie
scripts? Maybe in the French noirs he was involved in writing
(I think he did the dialogue)?
