I found the following books today. I know all of the authors,
but not the particular titles. I'd appreciate any opinions
(intellectual or plebian).
Guilty Bystander by Wade Miller -- this is the first Max
Thursday book, right? I get the impression it's a bit
darker/heavier than the later entries in the series. Hijack
and The House Next Door by Lionel White -- all I've read by
him are The Killing and Hostage for a Hood. They also had The
Merriweather File (Affair?), but I passed. Remember Me Always
by Seymour Shubin -- never read him, but I've got his new
Hard Case Crime book. The Steel Mirror by Donald Hamilton,
Dell mapback -- I've enjoyed his other standalones, looking
forward to this early one.
They also had copies of Richard Powell's Say It With Bullets
(of which I recently enjoyed the Hard Case Crime reprint) and
Shoenfeld's Let Them It Bullets (of which I have a reading
copy), but both were pretty beat up, not worth replacing the
copies I have.
Oh yeah, they had a couple of Gold Medals by Richard (I
think) Telfair. He any good?
